If you've been following me for a while, you will probably remember this baby as one of my last sessions before I had MY baby. Well, he's gonna be one this week and oh how big he's gotten! Actually, compared to my butterball he seems like a peanut, but he's a definately bigger now than he was then!
And his big sis "J". Always a Joy to photograph. It's amazing to me because I have been photographing her since before baby "A" was a twinkle in mommy's eye. The best part of my day was when she turned and saw me coming and ran to give me a big hug. Have I mentioned I have the best.job.ever?
Also, I am working on trying to change the blog a bit and ehhhh. I just don't know. I may have to pay someone. I am not this techie smart. Please bear with me while I try to figure out what I want to do with it.....Right now I am not sizing my images right so they are cutting off the sides and don't look very sharp. So, off to work out those bugs...

Hold on!
Sneak peek from the wedding I keep promising. I had to scale this back big time. J &N are such a beautiful couple that I really have had a hard time choosing a sneak peek. Their pictures are turning out beautifully so far!
I always tell my brides that I have to keep reminding myself to follow THEM the day of the wedding. I usually have a strong desire to just keep photographing the flower girl or ring bearer, since I am primarily a child photographer. This couple expressed that they really did want some great shots of the kids, and really, with kids this cute, how could they not? Little Man had the rosiest cheeks and most sparkly eyes. If I could picture Santa Claus as a child, I think this would be it. :)

Q&A Week 12
From my friend Terra. Short and sweet tonight because I have had a very loooooonnnnnnngggggg week!
What size shoe do you wear? I wear a 5.5 or 6
What about the boys sizes? Grady's in an 8 I think and Fin I am not sure. He only fits in the little leather robeez type shoes right now. His feet are too chunky ;)
And my SP. The shoes I wear ALL the time. Not taking full advantage of the fact that I actually have cute, tiny feet.

Q&A week 11.
I cannot believe I have kept this up so long! Usually with things like resolutions, they last about 2 days and then I run out of time to add something new into the mix. Which is probably why I am still struggling to lose the last 8-10 lbs of baby weight. Well, that and the girl scout cookies that have been so readily accessible the past few weeks. ;)
Anyway, my question for this week comes from one of my closest girlfriends here in Tampa. She also happens to be the mommy of the two gorgeous little girls I posted a blog entry about a few weeks ago. Lindsey would like to know...
What is your most embarrassing moment? I have to be honest. I thought about this question for a long long time. A few things popped into my head, but none of them seem as mortifying as they did at the time. I am not someone who embarrasses super easily, I guess. Also, I think having kids changes your view on what things are truly embarrassing.
For example,(hypothetically speaking) A man at the play area getting a quick glimpse of your breast as you hurriedly rush to undo your nursing bra and keep the nursing cover over your head would probably be (hypothetically) embarrassing if you weren't trying to calm the screaming three week old in your arms and make sure that your two year old does not bolt unnoticed from said play area before you are done feeding the screaming newborn. And if you really think about it, the man was probably one of the kids dads and is therefore (hypothetically) much more embarrassed than you at your nursing snafu.
Also, when your three year old announces to the lady in Target (hypothetically, of course) that his daddy is at work, but no one knows who his baby brother's daddy is, but it's certainly not the same daddy who is at work; even though the kids look so much like siblings that there should be no question in anyone's mind that they do in fact have the same daddy, you're willing to just smile and nod at the look the Target woman throws you because you're daydreaming about a full night's sleep (how's THAT for a run-on sentence?) That situation might have (hypothetically) been a little embarrassing if you had been really paying attention and not simply eyeing the starbucks across the store. But now it's just a funny story.
I will say that some of my closest girlfriends know of one (hypothetical) situation where I wanted to sink through the ground, but I am not going to share that moment here. Not even hypothetically. Although luckily for Lindsey, she falls on the closest girlfriends list so she already knows that story.
And for my SP this week. I bring you sippy cups for all ages. The three of us wouldn't make it through the day without these bad boys....

F family.
I am a little late with this sneak peek so it is going to be massive! I love love loved meeting this family. One of my favorite things is just getting to know so many awesome people in the area. This family may be moving this summer, and they wanted to get some portraits in Tampa because they have been here for so long and always want to remember "home". Thanks so much, F family, for choosing me to capture a day for you here. Your children are adorable and I do hope that no matter where life leads you, we will have the priveledge of working together again in the future!
Little man "A". He was not too keen on me, but he had a lot of fun putting his hands in his pockets!
My original plan for this one was to crop it in close so you could only see "A's" face. But every time I tried that I didn't like it. I love the way you can see mom smiling there in the corner as she hugs her little boy...
Aaaaaannnnnd. Little miss "E". Oh my. I can't get enough of her cuteness. And I love babies this age. Nice and smiley, and they can get away from me yet!
love me some baby toes.
Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. Your gallery should be up later this week!

Mini Sessions
I am going to give my monthly mini sessions one more try. These are seriously great if you just need to update your pictures on the wall, or if Grandma is asking for something new (Mothers day is in May.....). It's all the fun of a normal session, but at a fraction of the cost. I am unable to do Friday mini sessions this time, so they will be Saturday morning, March 21 and Sunday evening, March 22. Both will take place in Ybor city as this seems to be a very popular choice among my clients. Saturday will be at 9:30 am-11:00 am and Sunday will begin at 4:00 pm. Each mini session is $100 and includes up to two people (additional people may be added for $10 each). You will be presented with 10 images in an online gallery which may be viewed for 5 days. You will also receive an 8x10 print ( a $40 value) included in your session fee. If you would like to book your slot, please email or call me. Spots will be first come, first served.
Also, remember about my canvas sale going on! I do want to throw out there that I will most likely be increasing my canvas prices within the next few months, so if you have ever considered a canvas, now is the time to bite!

Q&A week 10
Just going to get straight to it this week! ;)
Other than photography what are your hobbies???
Hobbies? I am not sure I am familiar with the word!?!?! ;)
No, I really love to read. In fact it's such an obsession that I have to avoid doing it. If I pick up a book, it's a guarantee that I will go missing into it until I am finished. In fact, I just heard that there are kids t-shirts that say "twilight orphan" on them, and I am considering getting them for the boys since the Twilight series was my most recent read last month. Between that and work, my family didn't see me for a solid week and a half....
And my SP this week.....What I look like to my clients ;)

HOLY MOLY LOOK AT THIS SALE!!!!!!!
My canvas supplier is running a fantastic sale on 11x14 and 16x20 canvases right now, and so I would like to pass that savings on to you. If you have never seen the canvases, believe me they are worth every penny (especially when you factor in the cost of having a picture professionally framed, which you don't have to do with these). Here's a few images of one of the canvases I have up at Kidz Club here in Tampa. They are gorgeous and come lustre coated for protection and ready to hang! All you have to do is put the nail in the wall! Heck, even I can do that!
So, enough with the chit chat! What's the deal!?!?!?
My 11x14 canvases will be on sale for 50% off! Yep, you read that right. I mean, when do you ever see something for 50% off anymore?
My 16x20 canvases ALSO be 50% off.
So that's an 11x14 beautiful piece of art for $150. Or a 16x20 for $200!!!! And it gets better, if you order 2 canvases, I will give you an additional 5% off the total price. Seriously, I don't know if I will ever be able to offer a deal like this again, and I am even offering these for less than I probably should, but I know times are hard. Get one of these on your wall NOW while the gettin's good!!!!
You may order a canvas of any image you have had taken at a session with me in the past year. If your gallery has not yet gone up but you're waiting on it, you also qualify. I cannot book a session specifically to shoot an image for this sale, however. All orders must be placed by
March 21. Email me if you want in on this fantastic opportunity!

Q&A week 9
Running behind a bit this week again. I think the Vickers family has been keeping the physicians of Tampa Bay hopping this winter. I will be glad when the "cold" weather is gone and we can all be healthy (hopefully).
So, my question this week again comes from my client "L". She asked a couple good ones :) Thanks!
When did you discover your talent? I have always loved art. In any form. I did a lot of "artsy" things in high school and college. However, while I can express my artistic side fairly well through dance or music (except the piano) my drawings look like stick figures and my painting looks like Grady did it. In college, I found noticed a friend who had the coolest looking camera. I immediately wanted one, and started my obsession with a canon rebel EOS. It was very much like the canon xti that is on the market now, only it was film and not digital. I loved it! I got a lot of compliments about how my pictures looked "different" from the norm. I took a class and learned a little bit more about it.
When I moved to Florida, I sort of forgot how much I liked it. My favorite subject in college had been the little girl I nannied for. Here, I didn't have a three year old readily available to follow around. I wasn't as big of a fan of nature or landscape photographs as I had been of children. I just loved the life "S" brought into the frame.
I put the camera aside for a while. Met my husband, got married and had Grady. All of a sudden WOW! I had this gorgeous little subject. Knowing the future was going digital, I begged my husband to get me a DSLR and I have never looked back. At first, I just wanted to take my own pictures of my own kid, but soon I decided that I loved it so much I wanted to try on other kids! I loved that just as much, and I count myself blessed every day that I get to do what I love and love what I do!
And my picture this week. I was feeling a little uninspired. This bottle has become a part of my life in the past month, so I thought it was fitting!

Shot caller
Oh, How I love this little one. She's one of my dear friends little girls. I LOVE it when my friends book me for sessions because I know them. I know what makes them tick. I know what their kids will respond to. And when it's little "A" in front of my lens, it means I don't get to be in charge. And I love that. I know mom and dad thought she was being difficult, but she was being TWO! I think we got some good stuff...
She let me take some pics of her little sister too, who was just so happy to be there. Dontcha wanna kiss her?
My friend "L" (the mom) used to do ballet. I have a special place in my heart for ballet dancers, cause I love to dance too (well, I used to. Now I only dance to Jack's Big Music Show).
What's that you say? How on earth did these little girls get so gosh darn gorgeous? I think this should clear that question up....
And one of the whole fam, because it's just too cute not to share.

teeny tiny mommy!
I just love this mom. She happens to be a fantastic hair stylist and I routinely drive 45 minutes out to her to get my hair done. Yeah, she's THAT good. Plus, she's super cute. Like, I want to tuck her in my back pocket and take her home cute. I am not a tall person, but I always feel ginormous when I stand by her. She's eensy. When she told me a few months ago that there was a cutie lil babe on the way I made her swear she'd let me do maternity and newborn pics for her. I can't wait to meet her sweet princess "A" who's due in May (but I think she'll come a little early). I am rooting for April 29, which is Fin's birthday! Anyway, enough talk, more pics, right?!?!
