Downtown Diva

I have known little miss Emma since she was about 3 months old, and now she's going on 5 and pushing kindergarten in the fall! It made me almost as nostalgic as when Grady started last fall! She's got a lot of changes coming up besides that, too since her family is about to welcoms her new little brother! Not too soon, though mommy. ;) Emma was a preemie so her mom was nervous that she'd have the baby before we got to do pictures, but he's hanging in there. Baking away! web3 web4 web2 web1 Love this little series. True emotion. That's what it's all about ;) Untitled-1 Pink bubbles. That sounded like such a cute idea. However, crayola may have an epic fail on their hands with these. What a mess, and they were nearly impossible for her to blow.Bubbles in general, however are always a fun thing to add to a session. web5

Clowning around

Mr. Noah is turning 2! I'm always shocked from year to year to see how much kids change, and the year from 1-2 is a big one for changes. Last year, Noah was walking with help from mom and dad. This year, he kicks a soccer ball better than I do (which is not hard to do, by the way). He's gearing up for a vintage circus themed birthday party in a couple of weeks, and we had some fun playing with themed props at our photo shoot. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek, mama, and Noah, have a happy 2!!! 3web 1web 2web 4web 5web 6web

Hiatus

Took a little break from the blog to enjoy this glorious FL weather with my family, nurse my kiddos back from some yucky winter bugs, and play some catch up. But I'm back for a while now and I have a lot to share.

There's not much more I love in the world than a giggly 4 year old girl.

Pure love

My pal Victoria has been an only child for a long time. She's had mom and dad's undevided attention, and has often joined in with us adults at christmas parties and the like. She's such an amazing kid. Which is why I had no doubt she'd also be such an amazing big sister to her new baby brother. And I was right.
Just look at the devotion!

It was a cloudy, blah day outside for our session, so I got to play a little with some shadows, which I love. Mmmmmmmmm contrast.

Go BIG or go home :)

If you've been waiting to go big with your portrait images TODAY is the day! For a very limited time {until 5 pm today, January 21 2011} I am able to offer canvas prints at a wickedly low price. Really, it's sinful. This sale is only good on larger sized canvases, and prices are listed below. You must order and submit payment via paypal by 5 pm to qualify. If you've not yet seen oe of my canvases, they are TO DIE FOR. I have never seen quality like them from any other vendor. I have a ginormous 30x40 of my boys in my living room that I drool over daily. Maybe you're scared to go big, but let me be the first to say there is nothing like making a portrait of your most precious gifts a highlight in any room. The bonus of a canvas is also that you don't need to pay anything additional for framing. If you've never had a portrait custom framed, believe me it's going to cost upward of $600-800 to frame a large size like this.
Use an image from a session in 2009 or 2010, or if you have not yet had your session, you can pre-order a large canvas and I will lock in this price for you for all 2011 sessions.

strawberry {shortcake}

Sweet little T came to my studio last week to play. She goes on record as the curliest baby e.v.e.r! And she was pushing the 2 week mark, so that's saying something!
I happened to have some gorgeous strawberries on hand, and since it's strawberry season in FL, I thought we'd incorporate some.

Sweet Lil' gal

This sweet princess is the niece of a friend. She was in town for the Christmas Holiday and her Aunt Kelly bought her mom and dad a session {great gift! wink wink}. I wanted to pop on and share a few of her tonight. Those sparkling blue eyes...sigh.

Sleep in heavenly peace...

Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets emotional every time that Pampers commercial comes on. But really, nothing exemplifies Christmas like a sleeping little one, right. There's just something so innocent and peaceful that is sure to put anyone in the holiday spirit. I wanted to share a few of the newborns I have had the pleasure to cuddle this month. I'll do a longer post for each of them also. Just a little sneak here. I hope each of my readers has a very Merry Christmas!

Because mama's worried :)

You know that anxiety you feel as you refresh my blog or website waiting to see if your family pictures have posted yet? Well. Multiply it by 12 and add a few digits and you might then understand how it feels when you're a photographer waiting on images of your own family. It's torture. TORTURE. You know in your head that surely the other photographer got *something*, but then you kill yourself thinking of all the things that you should have done differently, because you know how you're "supposed" to act, but in spite of it you felt the red heat of embarrasment as your own little angels didn't comply 100% with what the photographer asked, and you had to just find a happy place several times out of panic. Yeah.
Recently, my pal Teresa ofWild Sugar Photography in St. Petersburg met up to capture some images of our own families. She amazed me with what she got of mine, and had them done with super speed. I have not been so speedy, but I am finally wrapping up for the season, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have a lot to share, but everyone else has already seen their entire galleries so they won't be so much sneak peeks as a share of favorites. Teresa has been so patient, but she recently admitted she's freaking out a little so I wanted to give her a few to hold her over!

This little cutie McCuterson, oh she has grown! You may recognize her as the suitcase baby...

And I love this image of big sister and dad. Before too long, another guy will be kissing those cheeks. Hold on to it while you can, dad.
