Baby "B"
This little guy was such a peanut, and sooooooo cute! Not into sleeping while I was there, he wanted in on the action. Mom said he has already been going for 3-4 hour stretches awake...of course, in the middle of the night as well as the day. Big brother was pretty happy with him and even though he was reluctant to sit for the pictures, once we got him going he kissed that baby all over. So cute!

Gorgeous Sister and Brother
"O" and her family have been clients for almost a year now, and they have a new addition. Baby "N" is six months old and I mean one of the cutest babies ever! "O" was my workout coach this morning, and then we headed back to my place for some studio shots of "N". We had a great time and my apologies to their dad, who was adamently against the BabyLegs in the following photo of his son. You gotta admit they're kinda cute though! Thanks for a fun morning, "D" family!

Fall colors.
This time of the year I really miss Tennessee. I miss all the gorgeous fall colors that surrounded me and that crisp scent in the air as summer faded away into fall. Something about fall in FL just isn't the same (I am pretty sure it has to do with the fact that it's still 95* outside). Every year I yearn to go back to TN in the fall. That's not possible this year, and probably won't be next year either. So, I had to improvise. I pulled the boy out to the garage for a fall color session. Mmmmmm that brown against those baby blues....By the way, since when do two year olds know how to do "smouldering?"

A few new clothes ideas.
Well, it has been a crazy week here in the Vickers household and my blog has definately shown it! I just wanted to post something, so I thought I would blog about two new clothing websites that I found and totally adore. Wondering what to dress your kid in for your next session? Wanting to step outside the jeans and white shirt box? Wonder no more...
Chasing Fireflies Has some of the absolute cutest children's clothing I have ever seen! And I am even willing to say that I think when the clothes are this cute, you can break the rule about not having huge designs on the clothing. I happen to love the "punk lives" and "union jack" shirts in the boys section. And boy oh boy, in the girls section I went bug eyed with giddy excitement. If I had a girl, we'd be broke. These are the ultimate trendy, bight, fashionable clothes that will make your kids look like they are a Ford Model. Really.
Also for the girls (why are they so much easier?) Matilda Jane has clothes that are a bit more classic looking. but still uber cute and funky. I don't think you can actually order them online, but you can call and order that way. These links will be premanantly added to my list of great clothing ideas on the righthand side of the page here.
Have a great weekend.

I had such fun with "G" on friday. We played with all of his toys, jumped on the bed, he showed me his Tractor, we jumped and ran outide. He totally got into me and my big camera. He's been camping this weekend and I promised him when he got home his mom would show him his picture on the computer! So G, here's for you...

Giving back for Christmas.
Hello all. Every once in a while I love to give back to the community of Tampa Bay. This year, I have decided to offer a free Christmas Card session to a family in our area who could not otherwise afford them. I will be selecting the family thru a small contest, so here are the guidelines.
- The session date is Saturday, Oct 6th. The family must be available on this day for the session. Due to how quickly I am booking up, I will not be able to reschedule.
- You may submit an entry for your own family or another family you know (just make sure they are available first) to me at courtneyvickersphotography@yahoo.com . The entry needs to describe the family, why they (or you) deserves this type of session, and something just nice about them. Remember to include contact information (phone, email ect.) Entries must be submitted by Saturday, Sept 22nd.
-All entries will be read by a group of photographer friends of mine from all over the country and voted on securely. The entry with the most votes will win the session. In the event of a tie, I will number each entry and let my 2 year old draw the number from a hat.
-The winning entry will be posted on my blog (with names and other identity clues removed) on Sept 24. The family will also be contacted at that time. They will get the session and 50 greeting cards, or 25 greeting cards, 1 8x10 and 2 5x7's depending on what they would like.
-Please be respectful of the fact that this is being offered to families who truly can not afford to hire a professional photographer. Don't submit an entry if that's not you or someone you know.

And everything nice.
Here's my second sweetie newborn girl this week. "M's" mom and dad were very tired. She's a fan of just sleeping while she nurses and not much any other time. Really, I was there for hours and she might have snoozed for 20 minutes. Despite their lack of sleep, mom and dad are over the moon with her. Dad especially really touched my heart. Not that every new parent is not infatuated with their child, because they are, but this dad was so obviously head over heels that it made me tear up a bit.
He was even walking around the house, 10 feet away from baby, humming "twinkle twinkle little star" over and over.
Congrats!

Sugar and Spice
My question to him was "So J, do you like your new baby sister?"
And here she is....Miss "T". I figured I owed mommy an early sneak peek since the second I asked her to take T's diaper off, she decided to...well, go potty (as we say in my house) all over mommy.

Oh LINDA!!!!!
Katie ratted you out. I know you're here. So, when are we meeting in New york?
Oh, and for the rest of you not privvy to the inside joke, here's a little picture as amends. It's from last month, but I think it has to be one of my all time favorites.

difficulties...
I have a new potential client who's email address ends in the popular tampabay.rr.com. I have sent emails and tried to call you, but there seems to be a network difficulty on your end. If you happen to be checking this and are still looking to book a session for your two girls, please call me directly at 813-352-4479. I don't want you to think I am ignoring you!
Thanks.
Thanks.
