Adorable Ava

I have had sooo many sweet baby girls to work with lately. I'm trying to get them all up on the blog because they are oh.so.adorable. I'm a little bit of a sucker for baby girls. Maybe because we have 2 boys, or maybe it's just all the pink and the hairbows! Little Ava did not disappoint and neither did her mama. I always bring headbands and bows with me, but Ava's mom had a whole arsenal ready and I barely had to even glance at my stuff. ;)

This one is my FAVORITE. Her eyes slay me. And the lips!

This family has had several sessions over the past few years, and my buddy Jack was pretty excited to show me his baby.

Sweet Savannah

I was so excited several months ago when Savannah's mommy announced her pregnancy on Facebook. Savannah's mom and dad were wedding clients a few years ago, and I love, love, LOVE watching my wedding clients move on to build their families. It's a huge treat. Not only did they bring an adorable newborn to the table, big brother Dakota is sooooooo photogenic and such a sweet soul. He was such a big helper with this session, and asked questions the whole way through. It was so awesome to see how involved he was.


Little Miss was only 11 days new, but she had some killer eye contact going on already.

This weekend we had a special birthday in our house. Our funny man, my snugglebunny, Finn, turned 4.
I did good. I didn't cry. Too much. I just can't believe how big he is! This child is the most witty, humorous little 4 year old I have ever met. He just cracks me up on a constant basis.
He is sweet and compassionate. Not only does he charm adults, but he is a kid charmer as well. Every time we visit big brother's school, you would think I rolled in with Justin Bieber. The girls all line up for a Finn hug, and even the boys have to get in a high five. He even has one of the secretaries trained to immediately fetch him a lollipop when we walk through the door. {shout out Kim, he loves ya!}
He loves music, everything from Raffi to Aerosmith. He loves to dance and shake his long surfer hair.
While his brother was always pretty independant, and will only come in for a hug or kiss when begged, Finn seems to know when someone needs a cuddle. Despite the fact that he's close to half my weight, he still coerces me into carrying him WAY more than he needs to be. Its because I know that when I pick him up, he's going to wrap his arms around my neck and gently pat me on the back. It's like crack to this mommy's soul. And hey, I don't go to the gym so I might as well keep my arms toned, right?!?!
For his pictures, he wanted to go to his school. He LOVES school, which I am so happy about, because after a not so great summer camp experience I was a little worried that he would not ever leave my side. He's got a couple little guys that he loves to hang with, and he's definitely into the social aspect of things!
I am so lucky and blessed that he's mine. And so thankful for the past four years with my Finn.

Sweet Love {Sweet Wedding}

Recently I had the honor of photographing this gorgeous wedding. It was a second wedding for both the bride and groom, and I have to say, I LOVE that! All the fun, all the beauty, minus the stress. Because you see, once a bride has gone through this before, she realizes that while this is an awesome, important, wonderful day. It's a day. In truth, I hardly remember my wedding, and I think most of my friends feel the same way. It becomes mass chaos, everything at light speed. So when Tracy called me to tell me about this very casual, super laid back backyard event, I was immediately smitten with the idea. Don't get me wrong. I love first time brides as well. You can't duplicate the excitement at an event like that. But when the ring bearer is doing this 30 minutes before the ceremony, it's gonna be a fun day.

Mother's day Mini sessions! {and 5 cute kids}

I am happy to announce that I am currently booking my mothers day mini sessions! But, before we get to that, I just need to share this little man. Little GQ Jack. Prepeare yourself. He has an adorable brother... And three sweet sisters! And their mama makes raising them, running a business and being completely put together 100% of the time look like it ain't no thing. Mom is the owner and director of The Reading Corner, in Lutz. I cannot, cannot say enough good things about this school. It is one of the most amazing educational enviroments I have ever witnessed, and I sincerely wish I did not live 45 minutes away. If you don't, please check them out.
