First mini peek

I had a blast with those families who came out to my minis in Ybor last weekend. I have been itching to start editing them, and since I promised a 2 week turnaround, I had to start working on them in order to deliver. Anyway, here's a little mini peek for the C family. Well, it's not really sooooo mini since I couldn't choose just one. It's like pringles. Once you pop...

I love this "pose" and I do it with almost every family. Why? Well. One, I have yet to meet a mom, no matter how gorgeous she is, who has said "gosh, I love the way my face looks in this picture!" Nope, as women I think we are genetically programmed to despise ourselves in photos. It's sad, really. But I am the same way, and I constantly have to remind myself to step out from behind the camera and into the picture so my kids at least have some general idea of what I looked like when they were little. Two, I have had a lot of my moms wearing some kick-butt heels that I just want to show off. Three, it puts the focus on the kiddos (who every mom does like to look at) while leaving the parents (at least halfway) in the picture. Four, it shows exactly how tall the little ones were at the age of their photo. Take one like this every year and start a wall gallery. Badda bing! Instant growth chart. And, I might say, a bit cooler than writing on the wall, since you know your kids will turn that one against you eventually.
