I've been catching up with some babies on my baby plan lately, and I just loooooove these 6-10 month sessions. There is pretty much nothing better than a baby in the second half of his or her first year. They are sweet, cuddly, not afraid of anything and adorable! Who could ask for more?
Sweet Zach was no exception. He kept me on my toes with his speed crawl, and we had a blast together with his mom and dad.
This is my favorite! Sweet baby kisses.

Mia {Delicious]
Mmmmm. I just love a chunky little baby. Maybe because I had 2 of them! This little sweetie was pretty serious for the duration of her session, but that didn't stop the cuteness! I can't believe how much she's grown since her newborn session 6 months ago!
Aren't they such a gorgeous family?
Peek-a-boo!

Max {magic}
I know this mom has approximately 67,584 friends waiting to see a sneak peek of sweet baby Max. And with cuteness like this I am happy to oblige. Oh.My.Soul.
Let me preface by saying that I am kind of in love with Max's big sister Kaiya. She is cute as a button, and has the spunkiest, sassiest little personality. And did I say cute?
So knowing that I had that to work with, and that her brother was going to be just as yummy, I was reeeeaaaallllly excited about this session. In fact, I kind of forced my hand on it because mom was really nervous about how he would be. She claimed that all Max wanted to do was eat and she was concerned that he would not be the sweet, sleepy newborn I was looking for. Well, he made mom a liar. Sorry Marcy. When this was literally the 4th fame I snapped, I knew we were in for some good times.
And it kind of just went pretty well from there on out. I'm not saying that he didn't fuss. All newborns do. But as my friend Lauren and her hubby Brad like to say "this a'int my first time at the rodeo". Babies don't scare me. ;)
In fact, I feel like I should share this out-take so you can see that he DID cry. Actually, I love this picture. He's screaming and the rest of them are just tickled pink. That's life with a newborn for ya!

These things are fun, and fun is good.
There are so many, many things I love about what I do. One of them, and I have said this before, is getting to spend time with families in their homes. I love getting a feel for their dynamic. I love seeing the things that they do like my family, and the things they do differently. I love letting kids show me their rooms. It's so funny the things that get them excited "Look at this! This is the tissue I used to kill a spider!!!" I love that they'll tell me their secrets "Hey, did you know my sister always sleeps in my bed with me? My mommy doesn't know!" ( I will wager a bet that mom does know) ;)
Anyway, I had a great time with this family. They have 2 gorgeous girls, one who is about the same age as my Grady, and one adorable little baby who warmed my heart.
Oh, my soul. This one. Please frame this one.
I couldn't decide which of these to sneak peek, so I did both.

Adorable Ava
I have had sooo many sweet baby girls to work with lately. I'm trying to get them all up on the blog because they are oh.so.adorable. I'm a little bit of a sucker for baby girls. Maybe because we have 2 boys, or maybe it's just all the pink and the hairbows! Little Ava did not disappoint and neither did her mama. I always bring headbands and bows with me, but Ava's mom had a whole arsenal ready and I barely had to even glance at my stuff. ;)
This one is my FAVORITE. Her eyes slay me. And the lips!
This family has had several sessions over the past few years, and my buddy Jack was pretty excited to show me his baby.
I want to steal this bed.

Sweet Savannah
I was so excited several months ago when Savannah's mommy announced her pregnancy on Facebook. Savannah's mom and dad were wedding clients a few years ago, and I love, love, LOVE watching my wedding clients move on to build their families. It's a huge treat. Not only did they bring an adorable newborn to the table, big brother Dakota is sooooooo photogenic and such a sweet soul. He was such a big helper with this session, and asked questions the whole way through. It was so awesome to see how involved he was.
Little Miss was only 11 days new, but she had some killer eye contact going on already.
