Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to all my readers, and I hope you have a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience. Speaking of treats...(did you like that segue? Yeah I should have been a stand up comedienne)Here's your sneak peek "L" family.

I love moments like this

Back story: "S" had had just about enough with the photo shoot, so mom and dad gave her the phone to play with. She started dancing to "That's not my name" by the Ting Ting's and totally made my day. The best part, mom's name is Stacy, and when it said "they call me Stacy" both kiddos belted it out and laughed!

Oh, and because I keep forgetting. If you get 10 comments, you get a free 8x10. 20 comments is a free 11x14 (but not both). SO go get all your friends to come leave a comment here!

Can't wait another day!

I have been meaning to share this little sneak peek of another of my mini session families for the whole week. But I blinked, and suddenly it's Friday! Where does the time go? I photographed this family about a year ago and I can't believe how much little B has grown. Isn't he handsome?

You know I love this one. Grady always has a pair of converse...

Little man B

It really has started to hit home with me how long I have been doing this. I have recently been seeing three year olds that I started photographing as newborns! Not that three years is that long in the grand scheme of things, but it just makes me realize over and over again how fast these precious years fly. This little guy isn't three, but he is two! I remember him from the newborn session as the teeniest little peanut. And really he's still a peanut. My 17 month old is bigger than he is, I think. But he's smart as a whip and cute as a bug. :)

Happy 2 "B"!

And just because I am in the giving spirit, the first person to tell me what local business this little guy's momma owns will win a 25% discount on a 16x20 canvas print. :)

First mini peek

I had a blast with those families who came out to my minis in Ybor last weekend. I have been itching to start editing them, and since I promised a 2 week turnaround, I had to start working on them in order to deliver. Anyway, here's a little mini peek for the C family. Well, it's not really sooooo mini since I couldn't choose just one. It's like pringles. Once you pop...

I love this "pose" and I do it with almost every family. Why? Well. One, I have yet to meet a mom, no matter how gorgeous she is, who has said "gosh, I love the way my face looks in this picture!" Nope, as women I think we are genetically programmed to despise ourselves in photos. It's sad, really. But I am the same way, and I constantly have to remind myself to step out from behind the camera and into the picture so my kids at least have some general idea of what I looked like when they were little. Two, I have had a lot of my moms wearing some kick-butt heels that I just want to show off. Three, it puts the focus on the kiddos (who every mom does like to look at) while leaving the parents (at least halfway) in the picture. Four, it shows exactly how tall the little ones were at the age of their photo. Take one like this every year and start a wall gallery. Badda bing! Instant growth chart. And, I might say, a bit cooler than writing on the wall, since you know your kids will turn that one against you eventually.

Such a gorgeous family.

I have the unique opportunity to occasionally take pictures for fellow photographers. Our close proximity to Disney makes it a prime vacation spot. So when my pal "M" asked me to do her pictures while she was in town, I jumped at the chance to meet her in Orlando at Church Street Station. Her family is A-DOR-A-BLE. Seriously. I can't even describe it. So I'll just go ahead and show ya!

Do you not love this dress?

K is the same age as my G, and he's a funny little dude just like mine :)

Gear up for the week!

I have a lot to share waiting in the wings, so this week should hold quite a few goodies :) Keep checking in. Hey, maybe I'll even do a little giveaway. You just never know.
For now, I thought I'd share a few recent snaps of my other little guy. He's growing up way too fast for my liking lately. He's starting to lose a little of the baby fat (although not ALL of it, as you can see here). He's also almost running, and tries to jump with such valiant effort we have to laugh. He loves music and loves to dance. He's also very verbal. Not quite so much as Grady was at this age. By 18 months Grady was flooring people by speaking in complete sentances. However, I don't mind that he isn't as advanced. It makes him seem more like a baby, and I am having a bit of a hard time letting go of the baby.
He had just gotten out of the bath on this evening a couple of weeks ago, and Chris and Grady were out somewhere. So I grabbed the camera and let him wander around in a diaper, his favorite way to be.
This one reminds me of Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter. :)

And I still can't get over his fat little feet. They were so long and skinny when he was born!

This face is classic for him!
