do you...I do

I often get asked if I do weddings. The answer is...I do. But really, I primarily market myself as a child and family photographer, but weddings are a LOT of fun. I love being there to capture the smiles, tears, laughs and first dances. So while my site focuses more on what comes after the baby carriage, I have a completely different set of packages for weddings. All you need to do is contact me for more info!
Also, another reminder about my big kid special, which you can get the details about HERE . It will only run for the rest of June and July and I only have a few more sessions left in July. Honestly I would LOVE a preteen or teenager. so don't think your child is too old!

Ch-ch-changes

Those of you who are here frequently will notice the change in template! I am just one of those people who needs a bit of change every so often. So, I hope you like it. I do! I will also be putting out a new advertising brochure very soon (if I say it here, I have to do it...) and should be getting a couple of new canvases (hopefully they're on the way) that will be displayed at one of our favorite places, Kidz Club . Stop by and check it out if you've got kids and live in the Tampa area, it's really fun!

Who is that?

This little series just cracks me up. Here's adorable six month old "J" just being himself! I'll probably share one or two more from this session soon. He's super cute!

Who is that?

Oh My Goodness!

He looks just like ME!

For "H"

Mommy "H" contacted me while she was on bedrest at a local hospital. She wanted maternity shots, but was forbidden to leave the hospital. So, I packed up my trusty little studio and off I went. We dealt with the space and light constraints, and I had a great time getting to know her and her hubby "C". We were even able to go out to the hospital "garden" for a few shots. Big thanks to her friend "N" who referred her to me, and was also there for the photo shoot. Hopefully little man will stay put for a few more weeks!!!

I maintain my stance...

That getting great shots of my own kid is the hardest. He knows my tricks. He doesn't buy 'em. He's also almost two, and suffering from a severe case of PKS...photographer's kid syndrome. Tonight we went out to try and get his 2 year portraits. These are for all my Yada girls. My kid does it too!

It was all going along fairly swimmingly...
Then mommy decided to try a costume change...

In the full size version of this one, you can literally see the snot all over his face. Nice. Now, I am all about real life images, but this isn't exactly what I was hoping to send out to family!

Seeing double

When I told my husband I was going to photograph 4 sets of twins, he looked at me like he might need to rush me to the ER. Honestly, though, I had a blast, and despite the fact that none of the kids wanted anything to do with me, I got plenty that make my heart smile...

This one literally makes me laugh out loud! Poor little guy. It was like I was pointing laser beams instead of a camera!

Babies, babies, babies.

I have been getting a string of babies lately, and I am loving it! This little guy is on the second session in his baby plan, and I am loving watching him grow!

The belly laugh....

The poker face....

And of course I can't forget cutie pie big sis!

More cuties

Here's a sneak peek for "R and T's" mom and dad. Also, a reminder about my "big kid" special going on through the end of July. Look here for more information. http://courtneyvickersphoto.blogspot.com/2007/05/schools-out-for-summer.html
Spots for June are pretty much filled (although not with many big kids...) and I anticipate July will start booking up around mid June. Don't wait!

This little one is just melting my heart.

Baby "E" is the long awaited little girl of a friend. They were the maternity couple with the BIG dogs from a few months back. Now their adorable little one is here, and she couldn't have been a more perfect model. Once she got fed and relaxed, she slept straight through the session. Notice how she curled right up in the towels??? That's why I love them before they reach 10 days ("E" was 3 days old). After that it's a lost cause. If you are planning to schedule a newborn session with me, please do so before your due date. We'll set a "target date" a few days after you are due and go from there.

Jeepers Creepers....

Take a look at these peepers!!!

I know, I am on a blog roll the past couple of days. All I am doing is editing pictures! My eyes were going buggy from proofing the wedding so I thought I'd take a break and work on some of these adorable siblings! They were a total blast, and do I even have to tell you how gorgeous?!?! You'll see!

He kept giving me the cutest little GQ faces!

Can't you just hear them giggle?
