Five pounds of Fiesty

This little (teeny) 5 pound gal came out screaming. Mom said, "she's part mexican, part Irish. We had it coming..." She didn't want much to do with me, but she was quite content in mommy and daddy's arms. Welcome to the world, baby "A"! One of big sister, who my big G calls "my goilfred (girlfriend)"Have to share this one too. Normally I don't bring my boys on sessions with me, but since the "H" family are good friends, I brought Fin. I had to snap this shot quick. His reaction when I handed him to "A's" mommy to take pictures of "A". AH, well, he's Irish too...

Just the boys.

Some of Grady's three year shots and Fin's 3 month. 3 months is the age I find the hardest to be creative with. They won't curl up and sleep like a newborn, but they can't sit up yet either, so I am not sure about putting them, like, on the sidewalk or something. Maybe I should try it with MY kid first...

Thanks.

I owe this family an apology. I have been crazy busy and their sneak peek got put on the back burner, but they have been super patient. I had such a great time with them. Grandma, Grandpa and little "J's" uncle also joined us, but these ones were such fun I had to share them over the rest. Mom and Dad are just obviously so in love, which is very refreshing to see, as sometimes when I ask couples to share a kiss for the camera they look at me like they have no idea what I am talking about. Thanks for letting me capture your story!

Ok, just one for Grandma!

Fair warning.

Times, they are-a-changing here at Courtney Vickers Photography. For a while (2 years) now I've had some pretty low session fees as I started up my business. I am ever grateful to those of you who have been along for the ride! So since I know many of you check my blog on a daily or weekly basis, I thought I'd give you a heads up! I am rolling out a new website which will be debuting in about a week. (It will be a "soft" opening, Vegas style. he he he) Once that new site goes live, my session fees will be going up. So, if you want to book your session based on the session pricing that I currently have, you need to be booked with your session fee paid by the time my new site goes up. I am also going to be introducing some new products that you can earn with your print investment, and I am really excited about them! Stay tuned for the new site!

A story of boys and cake.

Once upon a birthday party, there was the cutest cake ever. For two little boys turning ONE!

Mr. F And Mr. C
Mr. C wasn't too sure about the cake, but he agreed to give it a whirl.
After a few cautious licks....
He was hooked...and messy!Mr. F, now he knew from the beginning that the cake must surely be a good thing. And eagerly dug right in...And just kept digging!Happy birthday little "F"!
Happy Birthday Mr. "C". I was happy to share your special day with you!

I know I have been MIA.

I think I underestimated the whole "working at home with two kids" thing...
It will get easier. But this week I have been proofing 5 sessions, while managing the kids and now I am having website issues. I can't get anything to load into my client galleries. If you're waiting on a session you've probably heard from me (or will by tomorrow) about your options for viewing your proofs. Thank you all for being patient and bearing with me. Needless to say I am not sure my house will ever be clean again. But I did want to come share some of Grady's birthday party. He had a blast!!!
The loot... Some moms might feel bad. I just laugh and grab the camera...

Threes a....

Charm?
Crowd?
Company?
I'm not really sure. But I do know it's a whole lot of fun! I had a great time with the "G" family. All three boys were a delight and it was great to play with them for a while last week!
